I was induced on Wednesday, Oct. 12th due to high blood pressure. Ryan and I arrived at the hospital at 5:00am to find out that our friend, Haylea, was also there in labor! Upon arrival, I was hooked up to the monitors and Dr. Davidson came by to check on me. I was still at 2cm dilated, so they started my pitocin and my epidural was given about an hour later. Bad thing is, it never really worked. Dr. Davidson came in to break my water around 12:30. By 2:00, I was in a lot of pain and ready to push! My sweet boy was born at 2:08pm after only 3 pushes! He weighed in at 7lb 14oz and was 20 3/4 in long. Those there for his arrival were Mimi, Papa, Emily, Mema, Pappy, Erika and Chasity.
I stayed in the hospital one night (much to the disapproval of Dr. Lusk...blood pressure). I was just so anxious to get home and be with Mia and Reese. They LOVE their little brother! Mia is the bestest helper and I know Reese will be with time. :-)
